The training material is prepared by the International Narcotics Control Board tohelp Governments better understand and comply with the provisions andrequirements of the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971. It furthercontains explanations and examples of how to prepare and report statistics onpsychotropic substances, as required by the 1971 Convention and related resolutionsof the Economic and Social Council and the Commission on Narcotic Drugs. Thepresent publication is an update of the training material last revised in 2003.
